Pixieworld is indeed back!

Pixieworld is returning from the Wide Web limbo and even though it will be in beta mode for a few more weeks you should expect your favorite figure skating photos to return soon.

A long time has passed since Pixieworld was regularly updated and web 2.0 happened, so it was unconceivable to maintain the site in the format it previously had, but changes require a lot of time and mental power and sadly I haven’t had much of the second in recent times. Fortunately all that has changed and I’m rebuilding the site to face the online status again.
Here’s what you can expect to find soon:
- the photo galleries - other sports will be featured from now on, mostly sister sports to figure skating, like gymnastics in its many flavours, but also more surprising candidates like kickboxing (I bet you didn’t know that kickboxing has a discipline called musical/aerial forms that mixes aerobics with martial arts?).
- site membership - photographers, athletes and fans will be able to upload their photos, have a favorites list, submit news and links, amongst others. The main focus of the site will always be photography though.

And to end my first real post, I would like to thanks Susanne Kempf for sending me kind words and for telling me when people ask what’s happened to my site or when is it coming back, because all the work I’m having feels worthwhile.
